Breaking news! We here at the Almanzo Market have decided to push back the Vendor Application deadline until Friday, February 18th. We've seen some great applications so far and are giving you an extra three days to put the finishing touches on yours. Also, with a combined 700 riders signed up for the Almanzo 100 and Royal 162 races, the Almanzo Market is bound to be the place to reach the masses. The Spring Valley City-Wide Rummage Sales are going to be happening May 14th, and we have worked very closely with the Spring Valley Tourism Committee to ensure that the Almanzo Market is a main stop on the map. Worried about the weather? Put those worries to rest! The Almanzo Market will be happening rain or shine as we have reserved a nearby venue just in case the clouds roll in. Keep those applications coming, there's still time! If you have any other questions, let us know!

After all the waiting, registration for the 2011 Almanzo Market is officially OPEN! Head over to the post office and drop that application in the mail right away! We're eager to see what you have in store for us. If you have any questions on your application, not to worry, head over to the contact page and let us know. We'll also be having another meeting with the Spring Valley Tourism Board today to go over some Almanzo Market details, I'll keep you posted as I know more.

Tomorrow is the big day! Starting tomorrow, registration for Almanzo Market vendors will officially be open! Put the finishing touches on your application and send it in! We can't wait to see what you have!

Official 2011 Almanzo Market Poster!
After several late evenings cutting, pasting, painting and markering, this year's first Almanzo Market poster is rolling off the presses! It's all handmade of course and ready to be put up all over the place. If you know of any hot-spots around where you don't already see one of these, let us know and we'll rectify the situation. Of course we're always looking for people to help out, so if you would like to post a couple in your area, we'd be more than happy to oblige! Just a reminder that vendor applications open in less than two weeks so if you haven't already, download yours and get it all ready to go!

The second meeting of the Almanzo Market committee went great. The site has been launched, the posters and handbills are being printed and now we are spreading the word to everyone we know - and then some. Excitement is in the air as the date to apply draws closer and closer. Know anyone crafty? Have a knack for making the best cookies ever? Have a unique talent or skill? After a great meeting with the Spring Valley Tourism Board yesterday, we are putting the finishing touches on everything here at the Almanzo Market website so look around and let us know if you have any questions. Registration is now open for the Almanzo 100 and the Royal 162 bike races, so if you know anyone interested in some fantastic gravel cycling across the beautiful rolling hills of Southeastern Minnesota, tell them to check it out! More vendor information and buzz to come.
